Betting Systems

Here you can find explanation of commonly used betting systems such as: Martingale system, D'Alembert system, Paroli and 1-3-2-6 system. They are usually used as roulette systems but can be applied to sports betting as well. Betting systems can be divided into two categories: positive and negative progression systems. Positive progression systems are systems in which you increase your bet after every win, while negative progression means you will increase your bet after every loss. Betting systems do not work! They rely on probability or better said luck. Sooner you accept that they won't make you a million in 10-days, as some websites may claim for their system, sooner you will turn to the only method that can make you money from sports betting without taking unnecessary risk, and that is arbitrage betting.

Martingale system

The Martingale system involves placing a bet on the 50/50 event, and if you lose the stake should be doubled. The idea behind the system is that despite you will lose on a regular basis, there will be a moment when you will win and cover all your losses and gain some profit. For this system you should have a large bankroll which will be able to cover your losses until you win.

D'Alembert system

It works like Martingale system but it is safer because you will slightly raise your bet after a loss and not double it.

Paroli system

In the Paroli system if you win, you increase your bet. It is good when you have a winning streak as it improves your winnings. Also for this system you don't have to own large bankroll.

1-3-2-6 system

This betting system says that your first bet should be 1 unit worth, the second 3 units, the third 2 units and the fourth 6 units. This should give you insurance by altering the bet each time and taking money away when you win. So if you win four times in a row, you should significantly increase your bankroll.
